Vertex Railcar Corp. has hired Barry Waters as regional sales manager to oversee sales and leasing activity in the Southeast United States. He previously served as vice president of leasing for Atlantic and Western Railway for more than 15 years. Most recently, Waters served as vice president of sales for a rail-car supplier. Vertex Railcar Corp. has obtained an order for its 2480 CF aggregate car from a rail industry lessor. The lessor chose Vertex after visiting its facility in Wilmington, North Carolina.
